Nicest faucet I've ever had 
This faucet looks and feels high quality. On the nozzle, it has a little button to switch from spray to normal as well as one that will stop the flow temporarily while you hold it for say, filling something up that is sitting on the counter without having to use your other hand to stop the water at the handle. The spray is powerful and rinses food and such off effectively.
I would recommend getting the set with the soap dispensing pump in it together if you want that option as buying it separately in the vibrant stainless color is very expensive. : 2012-02-11 10:52:54
Love the look, love the functionality
I bought this faucet/handle from the big orange box store as it came with a matching stainless soap dispenser important to meand I needed it in a couple of days. I had a plumber install after my granite countertops and undermount stainless sink were installed because I have a very tight space in the cabinet beneath, with a reverse osmosis system to contend with so left it to a pro to reconfigure the drain situation!. Very easy to install the faucet and seems anyone with basic skills could do it.
Love the look - very clean lines, contemporary, yet not Jetsonian. On the taller side, but not gigantic. Ive used about a week and finish looks nice, doesn seem to get water spots like the stainless sink.
Love the functionality - the stream of water is well-controlled and although the height is a bit tall, doesn overly splash in either mode normal flow or shower. The spray hose is plenty long sprayer reaches sink and I love the button to manually stop flow while the sprayer is in-hand... great control of water flow, even when spraying out pet bowls, etc, that tend to splash a lot! I read a comment on one site about this faucet or a similar model that they wished the sprayer returned to the faucet automatically?, but this retracts so easily manually, I think it is fine. : 2012-02-11 10:52:23
WONDERFUL kitchen faucet!!!
This is just, hands-down, a wonderful faucet! It is beautiful, very ergonomic, very functional - and doesn wet the entire kitchen. I have two, one in each of two apartments in my three-family home. We have had them for two years without a problem. I just ordered a third for the third unit we are now renovating. I can rave enough! The only down-side - we have very high water pressure, so the spray is a bit too forceful - nothing simply turning the valve down a bit can solve. Easy Installation
Before purchasing this pull-down faucet, I researched many other brands of faucets. I kept coming back to the Kohler K-647-VS Simplice Pull-Down Kitchen Sink Faucet, not only for its style, but there was a recurring theme in the reviews--EASY INSTALLATION.
I knew the installation had to be easy because my husband was going to do it, and I didn want to give him a reason to groan about how difficult the job was. Kohler did not disappoint--in any regard! The faucet is sleek, stylish, and contemporary. It is simple yet beautiful. It is extraordinarily easy to use. The pull down feature moves effortlessly on what appears to be a ball bearing type thing-a-ma-jig. I can easily rinse out the sink using the pull down feature. And, I can stop the flow of water if I want to fill a pot on the counter or water plants on the counter.
As for the installation, my husband had the old faucet removed and the new faucet installed within 1 hr. Im glad I didn call a plumber to install like I had thought about. Basic plumbing skills are all that is needed. He was happy that the installation went so easily and so quickly and Im happy I selected the Kohler. Really enjoying it
I really like this faucet! I think having the pullout head is great. The only thing that bugs me and its just because im OCD is when you have it on spray, and turn the water off, it sprayer comes out just a little bit. Not a problem at all, just me being picky : I also think its really cool that it has a button to squeeze so if you want to move from the sink to the counter to fill a pot, you can push the button and it stops the water. Beautiful and very functional
Weve had this faucet for about 9 months now and couldn be more pleased.
I love the elegant, understated design. It looks fabulous in our small and simple kitchen. And its super easy to clean, wipes right up with a damp cloth and doesn show residue. The high arch is amazing for washing big pans and baking sheets.
It has worked perfectly, never given us any trouble with leaks or bad tastes or anything. The water stream is always nice and even, the pull out head is great, and the pause button is really handy so you don have to turn off the water if you want to take the head away from the sink to fill a pot or something. The spray stream is really powerful, great for getting gunk off dishes.
The faucet is really well made. The head and handle and are the same stainless as the rest of it, not plastic. No scratches in the finish in the 9 months weve been using it.

Top In Form & Function
This is a beautiful faucet, it really adds a touch of elegance to our kitchen. The lofted radius of the spout makes accessing the sink a breeze when it comes to filling pots and scrubbing dishes. Also, the faucet end detaches easily - the head is pressure fit into the stem.
Installation:
Where this faucet really shines is for DIY plumbers. Ive installed this faucet twice due to two kitchen remodels. Its very well weighed and uses top of the line threaded brass connections. Install and uninstall is really a breeze. Kohler is a bit pricey but once you switch to their products, its hard to switch back. This faucet was an excellent investment for our kitchen. Buy it, you won be disappointed!

Gorgeous
This faucet is gorgeous. Seems to be very high quality. Only problem is becuase of the high arch it does splash quite a bit in my kitchen sink. I just pull down the sprayer or reduce the amount of water coming out. But it is very nice and Ive gotten lots of compliments! : 2012-02-11 10:50:36
Great faucet
We bought this faucet in vibrant stainless to replace an 8yr. old Moen pullout faucet that was rusting and leaking badly about 1 month ago and have been very happy with the Kohler. Installation was very easy, well designed and took only 2 hours, compared to the effort required to remove the old faucet.
Ive only been using the faucet for a few weeks but it has been working well. I like the way the setting of the control that switches between
ormal and spray operation stays in the setting you left it in, so you can spray using very little water. The downside is the faucet can splatter a bit in spray mode due to the high arch of the faucet, so I try to leave it in
ormal mode.
We also bought the matching accessories with this faucet, K-1895 soap dispenser and K-9111 air gap cover, and love the overall look! Since all 4 sink holes are filled 2 for the faucet, 1 for dispenser and 1 for the air gap, you don require a sink hole cover. : 2012-02-11 10:50:23
Simple Install, Simple Elegance
Bought this to complement our stainless appliances for a minor kitchen remodel.
We explored many different options from Danze to Delta to Price Pfister and so on, but in the end, it seemed that the simplest design was the most beautiful and seemed to be the most flexible in terms of decor. The lines are clean, the size seems just right not too tall, not too short, and the quality feels excellent. Amazons price on this is also excellent; better than every plumbing supply site I researched.
As others have mentioned, installation is a breeze. I had it installed in under 30 minutes. The only tools required are a Phillips-head screwdriver, something to drive a hex bolt drill attachment makes it really easy, and some Teflon tape. All of the required hoses are included and pre-installed on the lever unit. The instructions are well written with simple diagrams but even without them, the install is very intuitive. Even novices like me can handle this pretty easily.
Does not come with a soap dispenser, but it can also be purchased separately from Amazon two styles to choose from: K-1895-C-VS or K-1893-C-VS at a very good price. All pieces feel substantial and well crafted. The pull-down spout mechanism uses a very simple and rather ingenious gravity mechanism essentially a giant brass nut to keep the tension on the tubing of the pull-out spout so that it goes back up never installed a kitchen faucet before, so Im not sure how other manufacturers design this mechanism; it works great as long as you keep the back of your cabinet free and clear of obstructions. I dig it because the simple engineering means that its one less possible point of failure.

Stunning faucet
This faucet is stunning to look at. Sleek and sculptural with everything to make it user friendly. Hidden from view is the button to toggle between a spray and a stream of water. Pullout faucet that is almost undetectable. Even the handle to turn on the water can be gently tapped with an elbow if your hands are full. Why cant this item be shipped to CA or VT? 
I wonder why this item cannot be shipped to CA or VT? Is it made of some material that is considered a carcinogen in California? Does it have a water flow rate that is higher than that state allows? You cant say there are restrictions without identifying why.

Defective Unit 
I had this unit in black matte installed by a licensed plumber at the beginning of April (2010). Within 4 weeks the water coming out of the faucet was foamy and had a bad chemical smell. It got better the longer the water ran. But each time the tap was turned on it happened again. We stopped drinking the water from the faucet and called Kohler. They were very courteous but seemed unaware of any such problem. The technician thought it might be a faulty hose so they sent a free hose replacement kit to us about 2 weeks later. We installed the replacement hose but the problem persisted. I spoke to Kohler again and this time they seemed very aware of the problem and said they were going to send us a complete new fixture. They were not willing to discuss the source of the problem except to say they were well aware of it and that the new faucet was "re-manufactured" and would solve the problem. Lets hope so. I have only had my faucet for 2 weeks but I love it. I am not having the dripping problem some reported if I turn it off in the middle position. I have found it easy to use and the pull out nozzle has adequate reach. It looks great! Love the high arch and the spray feature works well. Price from Amazon significantly lower than HD or Lowes.
